Tom Fazio is a Senior Director at REI responsible for managing our support to clients with science and technology (S&T) and related missions. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction of REI teams and for our impact on client mission and operational success. Tom and his team work with a growing list of clients, including NASA, the Department of Energy (DOE), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and the Treasury Department. Tom takes a collaborative approach to developing client solutions; engaging customer product owners and REI technical experts to develop options from which the best value solution can be selected.
Tom brings over 38 years of experience in delivering information technology solutions to both public and private sector clients. He has extensive experience in program and project management, business development and growth, strategic planning and analysis, and the design of eGovernment solutions that have helped numerous clients meet mission and IT challenges. Since joining REI in 2008, Tom has acted in several key roles including, managing a major FEMA contract and serving as deputy to the COO overseeing corporate operations.
Tom is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Bachelor of Science in information systems management from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to joining REI, he spent 17 years consulting to numerous Federal agencies as a Senior Vice President with ICF International.
In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and kayaking. He has three adult children and lives with his wife, Lu Anne, in the beautiful countryside of Frederick, Maryland.
