REI is #30 in the Book of Lists’ List of Government Technology Contractors for 2016
Sterling, VA – April 19, 2016 – REI Systems (REI) announced today that they ranked on the Washington Business Journal’s List of Government Technology Contractors for 2016. REI placed at number 30 out of 55 government contractors, which were each evaluated and selected to be in the Washington Business Journal’s 2016 Book of Lists. With 524 total employees, REI ranks among companies with 1,000-100,000 total employees.
The Washington Business Journal compiles and publishes the Book of Lists every year. The 2016 edition of the book, which was released in January, includes 115 lists of top local companies in categories including Largest Employers, Women-owned Businesses, Fastest-Growing Companies, and more. In the Book of Lists, REI also ranked at #5 on the List of Top Minority-Owned Companies.
REI was founded in 1989 by its former president Veer Bhartiya and current president Shyam Salona. Today, REI is an entirely employee-owned company with more than 500 employees in the DC area. As REI continues to support each customer that the company has ever served—including a 26-year partnership with NASA—REI expects to achieve greater results and meaningful contributions in years to come.
