Homeland Security and Defense
Securing the Nation from Threats
Security agencies face numerous threats from foreign assaults, national disasters, physical and digital infrastructure attacks, and domestic terrorism. The threats can happen quickly, and the repercussions can be severe and affect millions of American lives. Security agencies need to respond swiftly, decisively, and effectively. Having the right technology to respond to a myriad of threats is critical.
We help security agencies innovate and modernize their technology to be prepared for whatever happens. We have deep domain knowledge and experience with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.
Developing a Cloud-based Big Data Analytics Solution for FEMA
REI is developing a cloud-based big data analytics solution for FEMA that combines internal FEMA data on logistics/supply chains with information about applications for disaster assistance from individuals and public agencies, mashing it up with external data such as weather, traffic, fuel availability/price. Our work allows FEMA and its partners to better understand, mitigate, respond to, and recover from disasters and to manage risk and costs of recovery.
HHS increased services to human trafficking victims with a modernized case management application.
Streamlining the Secretary of Defense’s Small Business Innovation and Research Program
REI is helping fund more private sector innovation to meet key Department of Defense (DoD) goals by streamlining the Secretary of Defense’s Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) program. REI brought highly secure cloud-based services, SBIR proposal management expertise, and workflow automation to DoD, along with advanced technology to make it easier for small businesses to learn about DoD needs, and apply for funding to produce innovation.
