Chief Corporate Development Officer

As Chief Corporate Development Officer, Eric is responsible for leading REI Systems’ corporate development strategy, including mergers and acquisitions that strengthen mission-critical capabilities and position the company for long-term, scalable growth. He plays a key role in helping REI expand its impact across the federal landscape by identifying and integrating businesses whose expertise, culture, and mission focus align with REI’s values and focus on customer missions.

Eric brings more than three decades of experience in the federal-sector and IT consulting industry, with a proven record leading growth, scaling operations, repositioning into new markets, driving operational excellence, and executing strategic acquisitions. Prior to joining REI, Eric served as CEO of Buchanan & Edwards, where he oversaw significant expansion and guided the integration of multiple acquisitions supporting national security, intelligence, and civilian missions. His leadership helped the company grow its capabilities in areas such as data analytics, digital modernization, and cyber operations—capabilities that remain central to evolving federal mission needs.

Before his tenure at Buchanan & Edwards, Eric held key leadership roles at ECS Federal, InfoReliance, and other consulting firms, where he led growth strategies, expanded market presence, and built high-performing teams serving defense and civilian agencies. Eric holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University. When not a work, Eric loves traveling with his family, restoring vintage automobiles, and hoping that someday, the Washington Commanders will win a Super Bowl!
