Rujuta Waknis

As Vice President of Digital Solutions, Rujuta spearheads a dynamic team of digital strategists, emerging technologists, customer experience evangelists, and platform engineers—driving transformative technology solutions that accelerate mission impact. She leads the development of REI’s Go-To-Market Technical Offerings, championing innovation and thought leadership to shape the future of digital transformation.

Rujuta has over 21 years of experience in digital transformation and technology strategy. She joined the REI team in 2012, leading enterprise modernization at HRSA and leading a substantial modernization contract transition-in at FDA. In 2020, she championed and conceptualized the creation of REI’s GovReview® product, reinforcing REI’s commitment to innovation in government technology.  Rujuta has participated in panels at the National Grants Management Association (NGMA) and authored several thought leadership articles for digital transformation, low-code solutions, cloud modernization and blockchain in the public sector.  Prior to REI, she led digital transformation initiatives at large organizations in the commercial sector as a Business Architect at Capgemini Consulting.

Rujuta holds a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. Beyond work, she is an avid reader and an enthusiastic traveler who loves exploring the world with her family. She enjoys badminton, tennis, hiking, and staying active through workouts.
