Vice President, Federal Civilian

Samidha Manu, an IT executive with 25+ years of experience, leads REI Systems’ Federal Civilian business unit. She is responsible for both driving new business and delivering solutions that delight and surpass customer expectations. Having held various leadership positions throughout REI Systems has given her the ability to think holistically about how best to serve government customers. 

 She joined the company in 1994 as a software engineer on the NASA SBIR Phase II contract, becoming REI Systems’ third employee. Samidha has spent several years leading a diverse portfolio of customer accounts, mentoring and guiding her teams to focus on delivering results and making a difference. In a previous role, she led People Services which focused on the growth of the company’s most valuable asset – employees. Her day-to-day focus included making REI Systems a continually great workplace, fostering company culture, and bringing in passionate, committed individuals that share REI Systems’ core values and mission: to create joyful experiences for customers. Samidha is committed to empowering her team members, pitching in, guiding where needed, and, most importantly, never losing sight of the ‘why’ while the team focuses on the ‘how’. 

 The daughter of a diplomat, Samidha grew up in India and many other parts of the world. She received her bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from the Delhi Institute of Technology in India, and later completed her master’s in computer science at the University of Iowa. Samidha has received many awards during her time at REI Systems, including the NASA Goddard Flight Projects Directorate Award for Steady Helm Leadership, the NASA SBIR/STTR Group Achievement Award, the NASA SBIR/STTR Group Performance Award, and the REI Systems Distinguished Leadership Award. 

 In her spare time, Samidha loves to travel, read and listen to music. She and her husband, Manav, have twin daughters and live in northern Virginia.
