What is GovGrants?

GovGrants® is REI Systems’ cloud-based software for managing grants from program setup through closeout. It brings applications, reviews, awards, monitoring, payments, reporting, and related work into a configurable platform for organizations that administer grants.

Who is GovGrants designed for?

GovGrants serves federal agencies, state and local governments, education agencies, and other organizations that administer grant programs. It supports the work of grantmakers as well as applicant and recipient activities, with workflows configured for each program and user role.

Which stages of the grant lifecycle can GovGrants manage?

GovGrants supports planning, funding announcements, registration, applications, reviews, awards and amendments, monitoring, progress reports, payment requests, closeout, audits, and analytics. The processes an organization uses depend on its program design and implementation scope.

Is GovGrants a SaaS product or a custom-built system?

GovGrants is a subscription-based software-as-a-service product built on Salesforce. Agencies can configure forms, workflows, approvals, and reporting to fit their programs without commissioning an entirely new grants system. Integration and migration work are scoped to each implementation.

Can GovGrants be configured for different grant programs?

Yes. Teams can configure program-specific forms, eligibility steps, review processes, approvals, notifications, and reporting requirements. This lets an organization support different programs on one platform while retaining the rules and workflow each program needs.

Can GovGrants connect to an existing financial or enterprise system?

Yes. GovGrants can integrate with financial enterprise resource planning systems and other external systems. The Inter-American Foundation implementation, for example, included integration with its Oracle financial system. Specific connections, data exchanges, and responsibilities are determined during implementation.

Can GovGrants replace spreadsheets and disconnected grant systems?

Yes. GovGrants can bring grant information and workflows now managed through spreadsheets, paper, or separate applications into one platform. We helped the Utah State Board of Education replace more than 40 spreadsheets, increasing productivity by 35%. We’ll plan the transition around your existing data, processes, and integrations.

How does GovGrants help teams track and report on their programs?

GovGrants provides dashboards and reporting across grant activity, including applications, awards, monitoring, and financial information. Centralizing this information helps program staff see status, identify work that needs attention, and report on performance. The specific dashboards and reports are configured for the organization.
