Sterling, VA – December 1, 2015 – REI Systems (REI) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP) to provide support for several government-wide Information Technology (IT) initiatives. Under this contract, REI will support the implementation of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) Common Baseline, pilot and evaluate data center information management tools, assist in the optimization of data centers and data center services across government, and support GSA’s Market Data team.

This new three-year contract, worth $5.6M, calls upon REI, together with its teammate Incapsulate, to provide expertise, tools, analysis, and information that will support the implementation of FITARA in order to create a more direct connection between CIOs and the planning and acquisition of IT in government agencies. GSA selected REI’s team based upon its extensive experience working with IT management issues and with data center strategy and operations, and based on REI’s success promoting collaboration and shared services across government agencies.

Prior to this award, REI was recently selected to support OGP’s web portfolio, extending REI’s history of more than six years in providing support for GSA with government-wide IT management and transparency initiatives such as Data.gov.

OGP has government-wide policymaking authority that covers personal and real property, travel and transportation, information technology, regulatory information, and use of federal advisory committees. OGP’s strategic direction is to ensure that government-wide policies encourage agencies to develop and use the best, and most cost-effective management practices for the conduct of their programs.
