Sterling, Va. – REI Systems announced today that it has been contracted by the State of Texas to implement GovGrants® – REI Systems’ cloud-based grants management solution – for the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC). Since 2009, TVC has issued more than $90 million in grants to help more than 250,000 veterans and their families.
During the first six months of the 18-month contract, REI Systems will automate the Texas Veterans Commission’s paper-based grants management processes in support of the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance (FVA). REI Systems will be implementing GovGrants “out of the box” to provide the TVC the required functionality within its budget constraints and within only a few months of contract issuance.
The system will allow TVC to work more effectively with its grant recipients through an online portal to strengthen the execution of its various grant programs including Housing for Texas Heroes, Veterans Treatment Court, and Veterans Mental Health.
Wagish Bhartiya, Senior Director overseeing all GovGrants initiatives, reaffirmed REI Systems’ commitment to supporting TVC. “We are honored to partner with the State of Texas to support our returning veterans. The ability to quickly and decisively issue funds to charitable organizations, local government agencies, and Veterans Service Organizations is foundational to the GovGrants solution. In today’s digital age, vital services simply cannot wait for the shuffling of paper.”
GovGrants is REI Systems’ grants management solution and is built on the Salesforce platform. With GovGrants, organizations can improve grant performance in a matter of months rather than years. In addition to Texas, REI Systems implemented GovGrants at the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, the DC Department of Health, the City of San Diego, the State of Utah, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
