REI Systems’ women’s forum Ignite organized a fundraiser for Under Her, a charity whose goal is to support women in personal ways that are often overlooked. By providing essentials including bras, underwear, pads, and tampons, Under Her aims to give women dignity and lift them up when they need it most. This organization serves four counties—Prince William, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Stafford.
Throughout the month of November and into December, the Ignite group set up baskets around the REI Systems headquarters for collecting essential items. On December 11th, members of Under Her visited REI Systems for our packaging event, where Ignite members and other interested employees assembled supply bags from the donated materials. Thanks to our donations, we had more supplies than the associated packaging materials! We prepared more than 200 supply bags, more than 100 of which will be given to middle schools supported by Under Her. Thanks to Under Her for dedicating their time to their important mission, and thanks to our Ignite team for organizing this fundraiser!
