REI Systems is in Phase Two of Releasing GovGrants Functionality in San Diego
Sterling, VA – March 1, 2017 – REI Systems (REI) announced today that it has successfully implemented GovGrants® for the City of San Diego’s Economic Development Department. While the City has historically tracked financial grant incentives through manual processes, PDFs, and spreadsheets, the City now uses GovGrants – a cloud-based grants management solution built by REI on the Salesforce platform – for their Enterprise Grants Management System (EDGrants) supporting the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
For this 9-month project, the City required an expedited implementation to support its grants program announcements. REI was able to work with the City stakeholders to deliver the first phase of GovGrants capabilities within four months of the project start; with a project start date in September 2016, the first phase was released in January 2017, and the second phase is in progress until May 2017. With this second phase, REI will fully release GovGrants’ functionality to support business processes, approvals, and other capabilities for the CDBG.
“With GovGrants in place, the City has experienced a 30% increase in applications received,” said Rahul Sundrani, San Diego EDGrants Program Manager at REI. “Applications are of much higher quality as only 3 applications have been rejected this year because of completeness and correctness errors.”
GovGrants is REI’s grants management solution built on the Salesforce platform. With GovGrants, grant-making and grant-receiving agencies are able to see improved grant performance in a matter of months rather than years. In addition to San Diego, REI has implemented GovGrants at the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, the DC Department of Health, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
